Practice:
Ms. Gunther has extensive experience in the fields of property and liability insurance coverage, including investigating claims involving suspected fraud and arson. She also has experience as a general insurance defense litigator, including handling premises liability, products liability, professional liability, public entity liability, construction defect, and insurance bad faith cases. She has spoken to the CA Conference of Arson Investigators several times regarding the exchange of information between insurance carriers and law enforcement/fire department personnel in compliance with CA Insurance Code §1875, et al. She has also presented numerous training seminars for various insurance carriers/claims personnel on topics such as compliance with the CA Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, the investigation of suspected fraud and arson insurance claims, preparing for and conducting insurance appraisal proceedings, and various mortgagee/mortgagor issues. She also taught Civil Procedure classes for the Paralegal Program at CA State University, Los Angeles , in 1999 and 2000, and for several years she has judged oral arguments at Loyola Law School for Legal Writing classes. She has trial experience.
